donations

i recently got an email by a concerned æstats user, who wanted to support æstats with a small contribution, since he had been using it for free for over a year now. this really surprised me as a great idea.

note æstats will continue to be for free (as long as it is not commercially used), but if you feel like digging into your pocket and donating a few bucks, it would greatly help me to make updates on æstats more frequent.

donations will also be viewed as a strong motivator to add support for what you 'personally' want. but please contact me before you get your hopes up. some things are simply beyond want i can do with æstats.

some advanced stuff will probably be something for my next generation stats project called æstats++.

please also note: even though i will try to speed up updates and react on requests, æstats is still being coded in my spare time, so i can't guarantee that i will have the time to do things. but rest assured, i will do my best.

pointers

you might be wondering what the right donation is for you. provided you do not commercially use æstats, see the legal page on this, consider the following options:

if you just downloaded æstats, then you should first test things for a month, before you consider donating. i want to make sure you really like æstats before you send in something.
if you have been using æstats for 1-3 months a donation of $5 would be appropriate:
if you have been using æstats about half a year a donation of $10 comes to mind:
longer usage of æstats could be in the region of $15 to $20:
if you are using æstats on a lan party to do all your official scoring you really should consider a donation of $15 to $20.
note: when entering a value of $15, type 15 or 15.00, do not enter 15.0 or 15..

just some suggestions... future updates do not warrant a donation... only if you feel the new stuff is just what you wanted.

donations in germany

if you live in germany (like little old æon) then a donation via credit card might really not be the best way to go.

with a transfer ('überweisung') directly to my account with the advance bank, you can support æstats without the hassle of needing a credit card. just send me an email:

aestats: aeon send me your account data for a donation

the pointers above on donations are also valid for deutsch marks or euros. if you want to donate in dm then simply multiply the above dollar values with a factor of 2 (e.g. $10 = DM 20). in the case of euros simply use the dollar values (e.g. $10 = euro 10).
